One of the biggest networks in India is FREE again from 1st January 2021. It is the New Year gift from Jio to its customer to wave off the IUC.

IUC is referred to as Interconnect Usage Charge. It is charged to the operator when their customer makes a call from their network to another network. Over the year Jio was charging IUC of 6 paise per second to its customers for voice calls to other networks. Also, the company was offering compensatory data to users against the IUC top-up.

After 1 January 2021, your top-up balance became useless. There is no need for top-up recharges to make calls on other networks. All is now unlimited again and quota Free.

Now here is the big question that arises, “How to use a top-up balance that is already in your account”?

So here is the answer:

If you already have some balance in your account, that only can be used in availing below services from Jio.

According to Jio executive:

1. Use it to recharge data add-ons
2. Buy roaming packs, ISD
3. Use in international messages
4. sending SMS when there is nothing left in your plan’s SMS balance etc.
